I noticed how the Garnier Light Complete Vitamin C Serum always appeared on my Facebook feed like a staple paid ad, it really was effective since it caught my interest. Perhaps people were really raving about it as well.

Knowing that the malls were closed in our area due to quarantine measures (which is just right), I had to switch to skincare products that were more available in supermarkets – just like Garnier products. But I got my Garnier Light Complete Vitamin C Serum on Lazada since it wasn’t available at our local Watsons and I didn’t know where else to look.

I’m just going to cut to the chase and give you my 1-month review of the affordable yet effective Garnier Light Complete Vitamin C Serum

Pictures documented below are:
Day 1 (June 30, 2020)
Day 3 (July 2, 2020)
Day 6 (July 7, 2020)
Day 7 (July 8, 2020)
Day 13 (July 14, 2020)

So you can compare them side-by-side:

Finally, on my 31st day of usage, which is August 1, 2020, this was the final result:

Final verdict?
My acne scars did lighten up, although it may not be as fast in letting darker acne scars fade away as expected, it really did help improve the quality of my skin’s tone and texture just as it promised on the label.

Let’s also consider the price of this Vitamin C Serum (currently at P499.00 SRP, if not on sale), I think this is somehow very affordable already since I have used other Vitamin C Serums that were much pricier than this. Overall, for its affordability and non-reactive nature, it’s definitely a good product!

Let’s also factor in age and habits as these are variables from one person to the other.

PROs
  • It can lighten scars – it works!
  • Affordable – compared to other Vitamin C Serums of the same quantity
  • I did not react to this serum (no itching sensation on application)
  • Non-greasy

CONs
  • Not yet readily available in all supermarkets yet
  • They say that Vitamin C Serums should be in tinted glass bottles, this one is not (it doesn’t matter to me for this product though).

Here is my Lazada review of the product (just click on the image to see the review on Lazada):
